Specialising in Watches, Diamonds and Clocks, Deacons are a proud 6th generation family run business, originally founded by George Deacon in 1848. Having trained as a watch and clockmaker, George astutely chose Swindon as Deacons’ home, as soon after opening, they were supplying the clocks for the Great Western Railway.
Deacons are so pleased to continue their deep-rooted involvement in engineering with their Masters of Motoring partnership. They have so much passion for what they do and look forward to sharing that with you all at upcoming events.
They offer a brilliant selection of watch brands, including Rolex, Tudor, Bremont, TAG Heuer, Grand Seiko and Longines. Their jewellery offering includes a carefully curated “Deacons for Diamonds” collection as well as renowned brands, including Fope and Shaun Leane.
Keeping to Deacons’ horology beginnings, their brands are supported by a brand new expanded and updated workshop, opened by HM Queen Camilla on the 22nd of January 2024. With these watch, clock and jewellery workshops, Deacons and their technicians can cater for all your requirements, whether it be localised repairs, overhauling a vintage piece, or simply a routine service.
Deacons’ broad jewellery and engagement ring selection offers individuality along with the highest quality. However, if you are looking for a truly ‘one-of-a-kind’ item, in-house jewellers can use their expertise to create stunning bespoke pieces.
